My New Housekeeper

I always thought having a housekeeper would be a little indulgent for a stay-at home mother of one like me. But since having our house on the market, its been a lot more work to keep the house spotless and ready to show at a moment's notice! So I finally decided to get some help...

He's an enthusiastic worker...

and gets in all those hard to reach spots...

Its a little awkward when he does his work in his underwear...

and sometimes I find him sitting down on the job...

but he's just so darn cute! So I think he's a keeper.

lol! adorable!! how much does he charge? i bet i could pay him in goldfish crackers, huh? :-)

ellie is obsessed with the broom too. whenever she gets to it she says, "i clean" over and over. i love it. also, if you haven't tried it already, take your mil up on the dusting thing....it was about charlie's age that i started letting ellie "help" me dust. it was the only way to get it done when she was awake. he might be ready to help you unload the dishwasher too! i'm not kidding. start him early...let him put away the plastics (like sippy cups, etc.) into a bottom drawer. I started with ellie at about 13 months and now she has advanced to silverware duty as well. she knows where things go in 5 different drawers in my kitchen and almost always puts them in the right place. today i left the dishwasher open when i left to check on clara and she finished unloading it for me. i checked when i got back and everything was in it's place. it's amazing. they really do love to help at this age. i have a feeling that won't last forever, though. :-)

Once a week I get to see this blog. It's always a treat. Do you think Charlie could come do my floors as well? By the way, I loved the boonie hat in the yard.
