17 Months

Now that the weather is starting to cool off, Charlie and I are spending more and more time outside again. It is a beautiful day and I decided we needed to have a little 17 month photo shoot! I can't believe he's almost one and a half. He certainly is a little man...

Can you tell this boy is full of personality and constantly on the move? Oh how I love him!!!

My Little Project

Since our house has been on the market for the past two months, my home decorating projects have taken a backseat. Now my extra energy is spent on keeping the house in perfect condition, ready to show in a moment's notice. But, I've been eyeing this picture I found online for a while now and thought it would be a fun and easy touch for Charlie's room...

I bought some $5 reuseable stencils at Lowe's yesterday and cut up an extra kitchen sponge I had. The paint was leftover from the tree on the wall. I debated on going with a navy paint, but I was worried I wouldn't like it and it would be harder to paint over...

Turns out, I love it!

Charlie loves it too!
Its baby-ish, but still masculine, and
will be a fun way to teach him numbers. And to teach him to put away his own laundry- ooh I like the sound of that! "Charlie, go put put your pajamas in drawer #3"

New Blog Feature!

Just wanted to let you know you can now follow my Twitter updates via my blog. For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about- look to the right of this post. See the section titled "Tweet tweet..."? These are quick little updates that I create on my phone throughout the day, sometimes with pictures. Its sort of like a mini blog, which is probably why I have not been blogging as frequently. :) You should be able to read my updates and click the link when there is a picture to see some cute little pic of Charlie, or whatever I chose to "tweet" about today.

If you're a twitter-er yourself, let me know!

To Grandmother's House We Went!

Charlie and I had a great time last week, spending about six days with my family! There was no shortage of balls to throw, bananas to eat, and "new" toys to play with! Charlie was in heaven! And it was a veeeeery nice break for me- I even got to spend Friday night and all day Saturday in Austin with one of my best girlfriends, sans-Charlie, all thanks to Grandma!

While we were there, it seemed like Charlie's vocabulary quadrupled basically overnight! I'm slowly trying to get all of his words on video to post here just so I can have it recorded- but now he can say the following words: ball, bird, dog, car, duck, dada, mommy, bye-bye, and bubble. Oh and I almost forgot, his favorite word "no" often spoken repetitively while wagging his finger. Hmmm... wonder where he learned that? He has also been heard possibly saying hello, quack, nana, grandma, pop, papi, choo-choo, flower, and banana. Like most of you really wanted to read all of those, but I know there are certain Grandparents out there that care. :) And now for more pictures!

The Lazy Blogger

I've been meaning to post a blog about our weekend visit with my old college roommates, but visiting with my family, chasing around Charlie, and now a pesky virus have prevented me from doing it. Tonight I saw that one of my roommates already did all the work for me and created a great post about the weekend on her blog! Thanks Lacey! :) Here's the link:

We had a great weekend and I'm so thankful for good friends!

Look Alike

I was always convinced Charlie looked just like me, until I found this picture of Paul (below) when he was about Charlie's age...
That crazy hair of his that curls up on the sides? Courtesy of me of course...
Just thought I'd share... who do you think he looks the most like?
