Freedom's Never Free

Charlie got well just in time for us all to enjoy a big weekend of fun with friends, a trip to Market Street, and a trip to the Zoo! His new found freedom in walking has brought with it a new found independent streak. If he's strapped in his stroller, he wants down. If he's strapped into a high chair, he wants down. If he's down, he wants to explore. This has already led to a couple of accidents, resulting in two very large egg shaped lumps on his forehead. Fortunately we never had to go to the ER, but that first one left my heart pounding! By the second one, I was an old pro. I'm thinking this is how the next several months are going to go... time for a helmet maybe? ;) Here are some pictures from the weekend spent with old friends, a new baby, some zoo animals, and a couple of lumps on the head!

Poor baby! Those are some big bumps! He looks like he's loving every minute of his new-found freedom, though!

FYI they seem to come up easier after one good hit. After our "incident" if brooke even tapped her forehead it left a bump or bruise. Welcome to toddlerhood!
